Everything is right in my world again! Ok, not everything, but my mojo is flowing once again. I lost my job last week, and now I have an amazing amount of free time. I am back home with my son. I am taking advantage of this while I can. I know at the beginning of the year if I don't get my job back that I will have to start hunting again.
But anyway, here is what I have been up to. I got 3 layouts done! Now, what else can I scrap?

The NOT so happy time of the year.
at
4:41 PM
Hi everyone! This note is just to inform you all that I will have to postpone the blog candy contest. I lost my job yesterday, and will have to be saving my pennies. This of course happened at the worst time of the year. Luckily though, I am just about finished with my shopping and have just a few things left to get. I am hoping to return to work at the beginning of the year. For now, I will spend my days with CJ, and enjoy the time I have with just him. I know you will all understand.
But, just think of all that scrappy time!! Please keep the challenges coming, as I hope to get a lot done. Please make these paper challenges and not digi, as I do not have any programs on this computer to do a digital page, (sorry Lynn, :) )
Well I think I am going to work on a page......wow, it's been awhile. I see a few challenges down there, and I also found a new sketch site that I think you will all love.... www.sketchinspiration.ning.com Check it out!
Anyway that's all for now, I hope to start posting more soon!

Changes, A Challenge, and some Candy
at
11:06 AM
Wow. It's been over a month since I have blogged. Sad. Just sad. I have just lost my creativity. I have not done much over the last month. Maybe one layout and some Christmas cards. I want to scrap. I want to play with my paper. I want to use my stash so that I have an excuse to shop for more goodies. Something has to CHANGE!
My Challenge for you: CHALLENGE ME.
Create a challenge for me. A color challenge, a scraplift challenge, a sketch challenge......pretty much anything goes. I just need to get in front of my desk again and get working. For anyone that submits a challenge for me, I will enter your name into a drawing for some blog CANDY.....details on the prize to follow.
Make me want to Scrap!! Just leave a comment with your challenge here. I will take challenges until December 31st, 2009 at 11:59pm PST. No promises that I will get them all done, but I will do my best.

New Arrivals......
at
10:46 PM
I love babies. I love preparing for baby. My cousin is due to have a baby in January and will be having a baby shower next month. She just found out she was having a girl, so now I was ready to make the card I will send for her shower. I quickly turned to LSS's Babies and Bows collection for this adorable shoe! The collection contains 17 printable images on sale now for only $3.00!!
So do want to know how truly versatile these images are? Well I was feeling lazy tonight, and not in the coloring mood. I uploaded the image to Adobe Photoshop Home Edition. Then I chose to use the coloring book option to re-color, or in this case add color to the already black and white image. I colored in the image, then printed it out on photo paper for a glossy look. This was so fast and easy and I had nothing to put away when I was done. :) I cut a frame from the Home Accents Cricut Cartridge, added the embossed button border from Cuttlebug, added some traditional stamps and some rhinestones, and I was done! See you can be crafty and lazy at the same time!
Speaking of new arrivals, hop on over to Lindsay's Stamp Shop and take a peek at the newest collection, Funky Forest! You will love this one!
I did manage to get a layout done over the weekend too. I am finding my mojo little by little. This is my lil sis and her family. All the circles are hand stitched, and took FOREVER! But I love the look!
*** Family was cut from the Home Accents Cricut Cartridge
Thanks for stopping by! Til next time, Happy Scrapping!

Oh where oh where has all my time gone?
at
8:51 PM
Well certainly not doing what I would prefer to be doing, that's for sure! Over the last couple weeks we have been going through some major changes at work. One of them was closing the local office that I worked at. Now I have an hour and 20 minute commute every morning and sometimes longer coming home. This has seriously cut into my crafty time, and I am none too happy about it! So I apologize for no post last week, or anywhere in between.....I will get used to it and start posting more often! ***pinky swear***
Happy October Everyone!! Fall is here and Halloween is just around the corner! And what a great time will be had this year, as Halloween falls on a Saturday! Whoohooo! To celebrate one of my favorite holidays, Lindsay has created another great set of digital stamps. The Creepy Crows set can be found here for only, $5.00. There are 7 stamps in this set, and a million ways to use them!
One of my faves from this collection is this silhouetted tree in a graveyard. So spooky with the crows flying all around. I tinted the stamp using Adobe Photoshop Home Edition and printed the image to fit my card. No additional coloring was necessary. Let's see you do that with a traditional rubber stamp! Then I added stickles to the tree and the crows.
I used #36 sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches
Ok, ok, on to the good stuff. I know you came here in the hopes of a freebie, and I will not disappoint! Hop on over to Lindsay's Blog, The Frugal Crafter, and see what she has to offer. Also there is a new set of stamps in the shop, Leaf Prints set. Contains 9 images for only $5.00
Thanks for stopping by, I hope to have more time, and PROJECTS soon!

Fall is in the air!!
at
7:48 PM
Though the weather has still been kind of warm here, and will be for the next week or so, I can just smell the seasons changing! I love the brisk winds, the cooler days, and the ever changing colors of Autumn! Filled with food, fun and holidays, fall is one of my favorite times of the year!
Lindsay is certainly getting in to the spirit of Fall with the new set of stamps that she has out this week. And if you check out her blog, I am sure that you will find an awesome FREEBIE to go with this set! The set is available here for just $5!!!
Also new in the shop are these adorable cupcake wrappers! Tell me these would not be fun for the kiddos to decorate!! And the best part??? They are only a BUCK! Yep, $1.00!! You can't beat that!
My husband came to me the other night and asked me to do him a favor. Never ever has this had anything to do with my paper crafting hobby. But the other night he said the wife of one of his co-workers passed away. So he asked me to make a condolence card. I thought that Lindsay's Cattails would work well for this card. Here is what I came up with:
I also managed to get a layout done this week. Amazing considering my Mojo has left the building. If you find it, can you please return it!

Inspiration: A Card and A Layout,
at
9:21 PM
For me inspiration comes in many forms. A magazine ad. A print on a shirt. A piece of patterned paper. But most of the time my inspiration comes right from my fellow paper crafters!
This week, Lindsay is sponsoring Card Sketch #33 over at Inspirational Card Sketches. The winner of this week's sketch will receive $10 in digital stamps from LSS! Now that's a prize worth playing for. And the sketch is great, and very easy to work with.
The Sketch:
My take on the sketch:
I used the coffee mug and sentiment from Lindsay's Coffee Talk Set. This is a great set and has 3 other images, plus more sentiments for many different occasions. This is a great deal at only $5 for the whole set! Click here to see the whole set.
Be sure to check out the other DT's blogs to see what else Lindsay's Shop has to offer! Links are to the right!
While I was under the weather last week, I did manage to get some inspiration while browsing through some of my favorite blogs. Since I purchased my new favorite tool, the Cuttlebug , one of my favorite places to go for some inspiration is the Cuttlebug Challenge. While I was there, I found this awesome tutorial on embossing metalics, like aluminum foil and wrapping paper. Check out the foil in my card above!!! To learn how check out the tutorial here.
So I really wanted to see what this little machine could handle so I brought out some Grunge Board and some chipboard letters and went to work. Worked great with just the 'A' plate, the embossing folder, and the 'C' plate. Here is the layout I created with this technique!
Thanks for stopping by, and til next time, Happy Scrapping!

A Spider and A Little Champion
at
9:01 PM
Well, I have been sicker than a dog the last few days, so I am actually surprised that I got anything done at all. I did kill two birds with one stone and decided to do this month's card Challenge over at HYWWP. I tied that in with my DT project this week and came up with this card:
This is an accordian card. I used one of Lindsay's cute Halloween themed stamps, Harry the Spider. Too Cute! Colored with Bic Mark-its and adhered only to the front layer of the card. Black and green panels are Core'denations cardstock that I ran through the cuttlebug and distressed with a file.
My Little Champion
So even though I have been sick and laying in bed for the last two days, tonight was CJ's karate lesson. Normally with me being sick I would have just skipped it and let DH take him. But this class was special, he was testing for his first White Belt. So of course I carried my camera and my sick butt there! LOL He did great and broke the board with only a few kicks! I am so proud of him! Here are a few pics of him in action and receiving his white belt.

Once Upon A Time, and a Freebie!
at
9:35 PM
Happy Thursday! The weekend is almost here..........
I love having all of these wonderful stamps to play with! This week I decided to play with one of Lindsay's Collections. The Pretty Princess Collection is available for only $4.00 and you get four stamps. I used three in this layout. Purchase the collection and you will also get the castle! And remember, spend $5, and you can choose any other stamp for free!
So on to the layout.......Storytime
I swear, my older sister is providing me with some of the best material to work with for my pages. Not that I don't love scrapping my son, but c'mon, what girl doesn't like to use PINK???? So when she sent me this pics I knew just what stamps I wanted to use to embellish this page.
Again I love digital stamps for their versatility. The scroll at the top was originally about the same size as the frog and the princess. But just by cropping and resizing I was able to make it large enough for my title. I then colored all three stamps with my Bic Mark-its. Not wanting to take away from the pics, I let the embellishments tell the story and left the frilly stuff to a minimum. Just added a hand stitched boarder and some glittery brads.
As usual don't forget to check out the other DT's blog. Leave these ladies some love while you are searching for this week's FREEBIE!

THe stamp that I have chosen to work with this week is truly one of a kind. Simply put, it is STUNNING! And that's without coloring in. Lindsay has out done herself with this one. And you can purchase it at the shop for just $1.00. Be sure to check out the other two Dragonfly stamps as well, each also only $1.00!
I also got to play with my new Cuttlebug for this card. Don't ya just love that background?!?! I love embossing, I just know I will get a lot of use out of this little machine!
Stamp was colored using Bic Mark-its and colored pencils.

Got another BUG!
at
8:23 PM
A cuttlebug that is!!! My hubby was so nice and decided to let me get the cuttlebug today! So exciting. I love having new toys to play with. So I decided to start out making a card and took advantage of the August Card Kit Challenge over at HYWWP. Here is my creation:
I used two of the new embossing folders I got today from the borders collection. I love them both, and really like how the stiching one turned out. I also used two new stamps that I got last week from Art Warehouse.
Then on Saturday I also completed a layout with a pic that my Mother in law took during their camping trip a few weeks ago. Love how this one turned out.

A Little Birdie and a Freebie
at
9:01 PM
I was looking back at my archives recently and realized that I have not been posting as much lately. I apologize for that. I have good reasons though. First I have not been scrapping as much. I just now finished my 50th layout of the year. Last year at this time I was probably closer to 100. I have been getting these horrible headaches lately that really don't allow me to do much. I have been to the doctor and blood tests done. Results were all fine there. My next step is a visit to the chiropractor on Friday. So I am praying that a good adjustment will be the answers to my prayers.
Now to this week's project. Another card. But I really like how this one turned out. It makes me smile and I hope that it does the same for the recipient.
I decided this week to use Lindsay's Primative Bird & Flower Stamp. I just love this little guy. I colored the image outlining with Bic Mark-its, then coloring the inside of the image with my colored pencils. Then I added some Stickles for a nice glittery look. The sentiment, 'thinking of you,' which I know is hard to see in this pic, is from Studio G.
At Lindsay's the $5.00 special is now an everyday happening! You can get any stamp of your choosing for free with a $5.00 purchase. Great way to stock up on these adorable little stamps.

Easter in August and a Freebie!
at
10:36 PM
Yep, I decided to use these two digital stamps from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff for my project this week. I have had these Easter pics just waiting to be scrapped, and I finally decided now was the time since I had these two stamps to work with. The first is the swirl egg, and the second is the paisley bunny. Each are available in the shop for just $1.00. Oh, and the sale at Lindsay's, "spend $5 and get a stamp free," is extended indefinitely!!!!*** sorry for the lousy picture, my scanner is on the fritz and I had to use my phone to take the pic.
I colored both stamps using my Bic Mark-its. Made a collage for the pics. I also colored the brads and the title with the Bic Mark-its. Totally simple layout, but the stamps just make it pop!
Don't forget to go hunting for this weeks free digi stamp. One of the fellow DT has it, and it could be yours! Please take a look around the following blogs and leave some love while you are there!

Finally able to scrap again
at
11:43 AM
Wow was last week miserable! With the high on Wednesday at 107, it was too hot to do much of anything. We have a window A/C unit in our bedroom, but that did little to cool off the rest of the house. So my scrap area/office was pretty much out of the question. It was like a sauna in there. The high yesterday was still in the 90's but my room was more tolerable.
We took off to Newport, OR last weekend for some much needed family time. The drive there was pretty long as we decided to take the scenic route. En route, about half way, my dear son pops the question all parents dread: "are we there yet?" I was not ready for this or the 100 more times it would come out of his mouth during the next hour. But I did manage to get this great shot on my iPhone that made scrapping this event fun!
