This allows me to have more time to craft. I have recently taken up sewing and just finished my first quilt. I have also made 4 little purses.<br />

I just wanted to let you know that my <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/scrapnkitty">Etsy </a>shop is open and ready for business. However, I will not be adding anything new for a few weeks. I am moving and my crafting space is a complete disaster. I will be taking my time and setting my new studio up just the way I want it. If there is a specific item that you are looking for that is not in the shop for sale, please convo me on <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/scrapnkitty">Etsy</a>, and I will make sure it is on the list of things to do first when my room is complete! <br /><br />Thanks for checking my store! Happy Shopping!<br /><br />Remember to follow @scrapnkitty on Twitter to get all the latest coupons!<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://tinypic.com/?ref=a41n2e" target="_blank"><img src="http://i53.tinypic.com/a41n2e.jpg" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic" border="0" /></a>Katthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06442144765543048255noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344391170247986481.post-59326094776571584052012-04-02T00:00:00.003-07:002012-04-02T00:05:53.787-07:00Two New Items added to Etsy!I was a busy girl today and completed to more plaques. These two were a little more time consuming as there was A LOT of weeding to do with the vinyl. But I think the final outcome on these was worth it.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/96658948/beautiful-song12x12-inch-ceramic-tile">Beautiful Song</a>:<a href="http://img0.etsystatic.com/il_570xN.325513072.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 570px; height: 760px;" src="http://img0.etsystatic.com/il_570xN.325513072.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/96658598/in-this-house12x12-inch-ceramic-tile?ref=v1_other_2">In this house</a>:<a href="http://img1.etsystatic.com/il_570xN.325384593.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 570px; height: 760px;" src="http://img1.etsystatic.com/il_570xN.325384593.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://tinypic.com/?ref=a41n2e" target="_blank"><img src="http://i53.tinypic.com/a41n2e.jpg" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic" border="0" /></a>Katthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06442144765543048255noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344391170247986481.post-82158108756471946192012-03-29T23:59:00.003-07:002012-03-30T00:53:48.556-07:00Mojo Monday CardsSo my fellow <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">crafter</span> and blogger over at<a href="http://www.celebratecrafts.com/"> Celebrate Crafts</a> introduced me to a new challenge blog called <a href="http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/"><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Mojo</span> Monday</a>. Each Monday a new card sketch is posted and challengers have one week to complete the sketch. This week's challenge was to create either a square or a round card using the sketch provided.<br /><br />I decided to work both sketches. Here are my takes:<br /><br /><br /><br />Round Card: Card was cut from the Wild Card <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Cricut</span> Cartridge at 4.25in as well as the black out done in the red of the same image and size. Inner circles were cut from the George cartridge at 3, 2, and 1.5 inches. Papers used are from <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">DCWV</span> Stack 7. Stamps are Studio G and Martha Stewart. Flower unknown.<a href="http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a57/scrapnkitty/mojocards001.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 640px; height: 480px;" src="http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a57/scrapnkitty/mojocards001.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br />Square Card: Measures 4.25x4.25 inches. Paper used is from My Mind's Eye, Garden Vignettes. Stamps are Studio G and Close to My Heart. Flourish is a brad, maker unknown.<br /><a href="http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a57/scrapnkitty/mojocards002.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 640px; height: 480px;" src="http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a57/scrapnkitty/mojocards002.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a>Thanks for peeking!<br /><br />Remember you can find <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">Scrapnkitty</span> Scraps on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Scrapnkittys-Scraps/228039507213196"><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">Facebook</span></a>, Twitter (@scrapnkitty) and <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/scrapnkitty"><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">Etsy</span></a>!<br /><br /><a href="http://tinypic.com/?ref=a41n2e" target="_blank"><img src="http://i53.tinypic.com/a41n2e.jpg" alt="Image and video hosting by <span class=" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7" />TinyPic" border="0"></a>Katthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06442144765543048255noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344391170247986481.post-15783664912136777192012-03-24T23:43:00.004-07:002012-03-25T00:10:47.444-07:00New Items listed on Etsy!Been awhile, but here I am and I have some new items to share with you from my Etsy store, <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/scrapnkitty">Scrapnkitty's Scraps</a>.<br /><br />I have been busy designing some wonderful home decor pieces. 12x12 tiles designed to match any decor as they are made to order.<a href="http://img3.etsystatic.com/il_570xN.322338899.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 570px; height: 760px;" src="http://img3.etsystatic.com/il_570xN.322338899.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><a href="http://img2.etsystatic.com/il_570xN.318044618.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 570px; height: 643px;" src="http://img2.etsystatic.com/il_570xN.318044618.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://img0.etsystatic.com/il_570xN.252947280.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 570px; height: 428px;" src="http://img0.etsystatic.com/il_570xN.252947280.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://img2.etsystatic.com/il_570xN.318044070.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 570px; height: 616px;" src="http://img2.etsystatic.com/il_570xN.318044070.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://img2.etsystatic.com/il_570xN.302263958.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 570px; height: 760px;" src="http://img2.etsystatic.com/il_570xN.302263958.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://img1.etsystatic.com/il_570xN.302119325.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 570px; height: 760px;" src="http://img1.etsystatic.com/il_570xN.302119325.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br />Head over to Twitter right now and you can find a coupon code for 25% off your order! Just thought I would stop by and post a few Christmas Cards that I made for a recent challenge from <a href="http://www.mypinkstamper.com/2011/10/christmas-card-challenge.html">The Pink Stamper</a>.<br /><br /><br /><br />The first card uses traditional Christmas colors of red, green, and gold. The base of the card is from DCWV, as for the rest of the card it was made from scraps . I have no idea of the manufacturers of the other products.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxiEVYO5OMmfN1ACPqqevHT2Vg0hekex6jar7oIFcou2Gp4VE4Y8jKSPNiVwMAo7i1bBQQbnwkAUHWycF6yUOSmIdc3t0OOhC4Wrd5qthL448Nqm70e-4Knhf2PbwhrCnPlfjyrYg1RfzD/s1600/DSC02092.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxiEVYO5OMmfN1ACPqqevHT2Vg0hekex6jar7oIFcou2Gp4VE4Y8jKSPNiVwMAo7i1bBQQbnwkAUHWycF6yUOSmIdc3t0OOhC4Wrd5qthL448Nqm70e-4Knhf2PbwhrCnPlfjyrYg1RfzD/s320/DSC02092.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5658670696202411810" border="0" /></a><br />I love using more of the non-traditional colors for my holiday cards. Pinks, blues, purples and bright greens. In the next two cards I used the Mr. Frosty Imagine Cartridge.<br /><br />In the first card I used some misc. items such as ribbon, glitter, and added some neat silver accents using Dazzles.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXOpbMhWgmwHqrwD5vpjyO6fQjix6g_nVLCUB9a-Q2DGAdLcmGYid3HGfH6050zJqnjblUOm0X4B5Xz_hy4vW9f7bX_91JISQuyAMqIL-blS45P4UlFU7hEp9qie1EhVJTMphhKQd_gQkq/s1600/DSC02089.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXOpbMhWgmwHqrwD5vpjyO6fQjix6g_nVLCUB9a-Q2DGAdLcmGYid3HGfH6050zJqnjblUOm0X4B5Xz_hy4vW9f7bX_91JISQuyAMqIL-blS45P4UlFU7hEp9qie1EhVJTMphhKQd_gQkq/s320/DSC02089.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5658670698827716306" border="0" /></a><br />The second card was made with just the Cricut Imagine. I used the Mr. Frosty cart along with regular carts, Wild Card and Christmas.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-TV46yunwEJlE7_nd98VeAHVjcLRNCC2FqYLGJEwygDeBRUIMjWkmEnZD_vBl1nsiD59y4P1_kwMndgZqvK5sZvS-znTh5BuNQrMP1D6Zg5SkybcJm67csq9QQ7DPtcNh8UjlwbbwUN56/s1600/DSC02084.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-TV46yunwEJlE7_nd98VeAHVjcLRNCC2FqYLGJEwygDeBRUIMjWkmEnZD_vBl1nsiD59y4P1_kwMndgZqvK5sZvS-znTh5BuNQrMP1D6Zg5SkybcJm67csq9QQ7DPtcNh8UjlwbbwUN56/s320/DSC02084.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5658670705003804434" border="0" /></a><br />Will be making plenty more in the week's to come. Maybe that is why I am typing it out here. Maybe no one but my 61 followers will ever read this. Maybe someone will once again come to my rescue. Not that I deserve it. But my son does. He has done nothing to deserve any of what me and my hubby of nine years are putting him through.<br /><br />Sure, from the outside we look like a normal family. Hard working husband and father. Me a stay at home mom since I lost my job a year and a half ago. That should have been the first clue. But we failed to take the hint. Less money coming in, should mean less spending. NOPE. We are obviously not smart enough to take hints that BIG.<br /><br />So we get money from Uncle Sam, and instead of putting it away, what do we do? We buy a brand new TV, a vacation to Disneyland, and a computer.....that we put on a brand new credit card promising to pay it off. HA! Life is grand..... who cares if bills get paid on time.<br /><br />So for those mistakes we fall into a rut.....one bill is late and we rob Peter to pay Paul. Then rent is late....what's an $85 late fee? No worries we will get caught up next month. Again, HA! Another year goes by and rent was late probably 9 out of those 12 months.....$765 in late fees that should never have happened in the first place.<br /><br />Uncle Sam comes round again.......this time it's another laptop and an iPad. Gotta have the latest and greatest. Screw the bills. Now we are behind on rent, the car, the cable, the utilities......ask for help. A kind soul grants us the help we need, and yet we still dig in deeper. Out to dinner 3-5 times a week.....we have to have the latest Blueray......and yes, I needed that damn Cricut Imagine. Like Hell!! More late fees.....more money out the window!<br /><br />As I sit here and type this on my relatively new computer, I have an eviction notice and a notice to end tenancy from my landlord, my phones are currently shut off, and I had to borrow some money to refill a prescription. I sit here in the dark, sleepless, cause all I can think about right<br />now is what the HELL are we gonna do??? Who in their right mind would rent to us? I sure wouldn't.<br /><br />Like I stated earlier....we did this to ourselves.....but I never thought of the consequences it would have on our child. At the end of next month, we may be out on our butts living in our van. What good will the new TV be then? The laptops? NONE.<br /><br />We need to make a serious shift in our priorities and we need to do it quickly. No more spending. If we don't NEED it, we don't buy it.<br /><br />School starts in just over a month, I need to buy clothes, supplies....heck because of the current residence situation, I am not even sure where my child will be attending school this coming fall.<br /><br />So yes, I admit, I have a spending and budgeting problem. If you know someone that has been in a similar situation and made their way out please post a comment, I would love to hear some advice. No haters, please....your comments will be removed.<br /><a href="http://tinypic.com/?ref=a41n2e" target="_blank"><img src="http://i53.tinypic.com/a41n2e.jpg" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic" border="0" /><br /></a>Katthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06442144765543048255noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344391170247986481.post-50794306464820988372011-05-18T15:06:00.000-07:002011-05-18T15:23:54.182-07:00Scrapnkitty's Scraps Grand Opening on Etsy!Hi there ! All this rain is making my depression worse. I have upped my meds and gotten a Happy Light.....yes, light therapy.....it works.<br /><div></div><div></div><div>So I finally got back to my crafting table. I still have no desire to scrap yet. I need something to spark my creativity there. But I did create something. Something that I truly love. I think you will love it too. This has definitely got my creative juices flowing.....</div><div></div><div>Beaded Floral Mug: "Bloom"<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5587973446028550210" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJffJktf2NkNtV6e72XA3ifyr8mpTlYp0jBb3VtNDyu0a8dSFUKYGhyphenhyphenMvDC7fDxSUs62LzKdvCBxrNGQaMaLrgbeNHjFPHbKrT9_2Sh3PWp5iYN_PpBgquZ-QrmFIBoy7SsAz5dqnjDeGT/s320/125.JPG" />Each stem is individualy beaded and twisted with a beautiful glass bead. A couple floating butterflies flutter around this little floral arrangement.<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5587973459415660162" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdASpPpOADCDmYfm8eACEZ1I2EbbOP79VlxmYoXePwD4e3HcEs6J7VE2Nk8hiJ6XEqa_4v7g7wcADKVsWe2YNEHR_62nMJUxUqKfvqsxKAWVoKAlR396pBd6DZMzuG1hWy7ZbRpsi55BuX/s320/132.JPG" />Added to the mug is the word, "bloom." It was designed using the Cricut Gypsy. The word is from the Gypsy Wanderings cart, and it is colored using a pattern from the Nursery Tails Imagine Cartridge. Then it was cut and print on printable vinyl using the Imagine. A small paper flower and another glass bead are attached.</div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5587973450758493378" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1B86fhKoLoxZy-6rjfVjAqua9sG3eyIXPugOsB47HgwhlKmxdG3EZO0s4-rNdC7UwwhBAD3SCCxK6wi3Thbk0qMnMbA15XmGsClIl6fEeDqe1QolrS0LV4n0_6i5SbXS1fgG4915PTaLS/s320/126.JPG" /></div><div>I will be adding these to my Etsy shop and they will be customizable and go for $20 each. They are the perfect Mother's Day gift, birthday gift, etc. They can hang on a wall, I have added mine to a my bulletin board, or they are available with magnets to hang just about anywhere. A little note before I get started:<br />Excuse me if this post sounds a little off. I have had a half a bottle of Champagne to myself. Of course a great project came out of this so just bear with me! ;o)<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjRgZrIJoEO2yHqYqdpi6NkqjC0fOavkS87oaLNyZ972N0Xgh_Xd5xniQ9py1gzRJnVIf7WOIgZ0KBV6M9DW5wgaiPciGDufoNt8Px2XCnkKzaQ9wefRxOyABg4NkJYpt31szGeVEnC5PN/s1600/Paper+Flowers+011.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjRgZrIJoEO2yHqYqdpi6NkqjC0fOavkS87oaLNyZ972N0Xgh_Xd5xniQ9py1gzRJnVIf7WOIgZ0KBV6M9DW5wgaiPciGDufoNt8Px2XCnkKzaQ9wefRxOyABg4NkJYpt31szGeVEnC5PN/s320/Paper+Flowers+011.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5565664255768922530" border="0" /></a>Isn't this just the cutest??<br /><br />Day after the party:<br />Step one: Find the discarded cork from the wine or Champagne. If needed, shave the bottom so that it lays flat.<br /><br />Step two: Create little things to adorn your cork. In this case I used a flower that I made using the new Mother's Day Bouquet Cricut Cartridge and colored the flowers on my Imagine using the Nursery Tails Cartridge. I added a little ink to the edges for some dimension. I also used a word, "smile," from a chipboard sticker set.<br />To the back of these items I attached a piece of wire. Using my paper piercing tool, (ouch,) I poked 3 holes in the cork and put in the wired objects.<br /><br />Step three: Tie a cute little bow around the the cork, and voila! DONE!! Isn't just too cute. <br /><br />I think this this would make a nice little present topper, or a teacher gift. Something the kids could make for Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, a birthday! You could add a little photo to put on your desk at work......the possibilities are endless!<br /><br />Thanks for stopping by!<br /><br /><a href="http://tinypic.com/?ref=a41n2e" target="_blank"><img src="http://i53.tinypic.com/a41n2e.jpg" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic" border="0" /></a>Katthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06442144765543048255noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344391170247986481.post-47386147061350591872010-12-08T22:59:00.001-08:002010-12-08T23:16:53.444-08:00Does it change anything?Oh, I think it does.<br /><div> </div><div>What in the world am I talking about? The Cricut Imagine of course. It changes EVERYTHING. I no longer have to search for the perfect embellishment, I just print and cut it. Need a particular color card stock? Yep, I just print it right out. With patterns and colors that coordinate completely, and the fact that I can add those colors and patterns to any one of the 1000's of images and fonts on other Cricut cartridges, the possibilities are nearly endless.</div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 314px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5548575179165721506" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWJn-IWOshoURmSzaqkjwEUjcjoLLE2qqHkdj88OZxyaSeUnQVHdsrsCO_MNmGcfXc4IANyl26Bn8FJdiAm1xd6Wd5CGUkRltNwRrJ5KVU4NN5eILn460sXW7ORjwg-Eu09rv3dQx9xFH7/s320/148643_1540786634916_1092434778_31168368_7176173_n.jpg" /><br /><div>Will I scrap like this all the time? As much of a time saver it is, the answer would still be no. I still like the "hunt" for the perfect page finisher. I still LOVE to shop. There are still plenty of lines out there to love, and until I can download them to my Imagine, I will forever be buying. </div><div> </div><div>(this layout was design from a sketch from <a href="http://pagemaps.com/">pagemaps.com</a>)<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 318px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5548575191410271426" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4kQlkThdzQb-eWScseULug_3TcD2mlaITDcu9ox7zd_HTkkKG4-ifleskmp_jWwY3x8FyKw3a7hN9kkyoOUBsCU9qJRN55fsLV6b3J5Z0d1A1ErLVU1yyPoNfX-WUlBaQ-GzU_gxfS5X2/s320/72628_1547767529434_1092434778_31181701_1204154_n.jpg" /></div>Both of the above layouts have great dimension to them, but achieved in different ways. One of the reasons I love the Imagine is the fact that the layers can be broken down and printed and cut seperately. In the first layout above I layered the individual pieces with pop dots for dimension. In the bottom layout I used items that already had dimension, such as the Thickers, Chipboard, and the felt border.<br /><br />So yes, the Imagine does change everything. For me though, everything is never enough!<br /><br />Happy Scrapping!<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://tinypic.com/?ref=a41n2e" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic" src="http://i53.tinypic.com/a41n2e.jpg" /></a>Katthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06442144765543048255noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344391170247986481.post-35063812749988720692010-12-02T14:58:00.000-08:002010-12-02T15:07:10.526-08:00It's the most wonderful time of the year!Welcome to December, my favorite month of the year. It always goes by way to fast. I love to spend time decorating and making gifts for friends and family.<br /><br />This year I have discovered vinyl, glass, and etching.....ADDICTION!!!<br />I made this cute little glass block for a dear friend of mine. I am happy to say she loved it!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNwvmZS5h4mzko3jGmFHqKYWR4JB8JMXRhKZAkOhWO3devR1cIRccwWA03lULMvT_eCxrPqiNpmn1O4IQmWU1Y5dyJO-Eq_En_Mq8ZaZEas2_sqCFAn8XGNprH9g6AaYbeT0PvqN46O1R7/s1600/misc+004.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNwvmZS5h4mzko3jGmFHqKYWR4JB8JMXRhKZAkOhWO3devR1cIRccwWA03lULMvT_eCxrPqiNpmn1O4IQmWU1Y5dyJO-Eq_En_Mq8ZaZEas2_sqCFAn8XGNprH9g6AaYbeT0PvqN46O1R7/s320/misc+004.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5546223794558821314" border="0" /></a><br />I used Design Studio and the font from Wild Card to make the saying out of vinyl. I first cut a large snowflake from contact paper and used it as a stencil to make the blue snowflake in the background. This was created using Alcohol Inks. Then I added the phrase, "Snowmen fall from Heaven unassembled." A little ribbon bow and a cute little Snowman riding a sled finished off this cute little lamp. It is lit with a single 50 ct strand of mini lights.<br /><br />I have made some other cute items, but can't post them until after the holidays.<br /><br /><a href="http://tinypic.com/?ref=a41n2e" target="_blank"><img src="http://i53.tinypic.com/a41n2e.jpg" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic" border="0" /></a>Katthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06442144765543048255noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344391170247986481.post-87144649899318452162010-11-07T22:22:00.000-08:002010-11-07T22:24:41.591-08:00Before the ImagineBefore this machine I was a simple scrapbooker. It was pretty much all I did. Maybe a few cards here and there. The Imagine has opened up so many new ideas! I love this machine! I have used up all the printable vinyl that came with.....did you know you can get water proof printable vinyl? How cute would some of these images be on your car?? You can also get Temporary Tattoos, window cling material, and Iron on transfer paper. Oh yeah, and even rub-on transfer paper....<br /><br />This is what I did tonight, it literally took me less then 20 minutes start to finish.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgf5ORE37L25Ld2svFQ8VgiPg5q7IcdHnQglP-C4ie_iNALm7HChtiFMxS53Qd_yHJ-xaBFPPzpIqlKl4wlbFAFlFkWd-dbyHxvqUmYKr68ovM4C3b5XXVApW5SiSv6WWuqQlY92kGJ9tu/s1600/Meow+T-shirt.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgf5ORE37L25Ld2svFQ8VgiPg5q7IcdHnQglP-C4ie_iNALm7HChtiFMxS53Qd_yHJ-xaBFPPzpIqlKl4wlbFAFlFkWd-dbyHxvqUmYKr68ovM4C3b5XXVApW5SiSv6WWuqQlY92kGJ9tu/s320/Meow+T-shirt.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5537060735598743954" border="0" /></a>Print and cut from the Best Friends Cart. I absolutely love making layouts and cards. Having everything that coordinates right at your finger tips is a definite time saver and it all looks so well put together. I no longer have an excuse for scrappers block! I love it!<br /><br /><br /><br />Last night I created this adorable layout of my kitties in under 30 minutes!<br /><br /><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5528387504885301458" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 315px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_RBgLuIDykYPnpoHe7tGiWINB8CdtXRY3lTlJfZGjgtGH_jqT35RwegxCCAGKVl7v5qJFErV4SQH_6f2Hd0_1FwaetwbbEUl6m0yFhsNVtVSH2k1ptx0eTKcPSwTJMg_adSco9lRk9sT-/s320/cat.jpg" border="0" /><br />Everything on the layout except the background card stock was print and cut from the Imagine More cartridge and Plantin Schoolbook.<br /><br />I love that I can use different layers from different images to create what I want. Only two pieces from the above layout are from the same image, the 'cat-ti-tude' title and the cats. The other back grounds and accents are from other layered images on the cartridge. I also use the Roly Poly font from Plantin Schoolbook and colored them with the Imagine for the 'm&m' </p><p>What's your Imagine Attitude?<br /><br />Thanks for stopping by. There were so many fantastic applications with this material. I wanted to start simple as I only had 1 12x12 sheet. I had no idea what I wanted to do. I hate decision making! LOL</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">I have been in the process of totally taking over our office in our house in an attempt to make the whole thing my scrappy safe haven. I have started taking my husband's things down and adding my own little touches. Bye bye NASCAR, hello little cute critters! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For my project today, I used the Nursery Tails Imagine Cartridge. In order to use as much of the page as I could and still get a few images I changed the paper size to 12x6 and only had the bird and branch on my screen. Then I clicked the 'fit to page' and it resized it to fit with in the 12x6 area. Then I did the same with the pond and the frog together so the relative size would stay the same for them. Next I cut the scraps down from the</div><div style="text-align: center;"> usable vinyl that was left and had a sheet that was 5x3.5 and added the butterflies and dragonfly and again used the 'fit to page.' This worked really well and I would say that I used about 90% of the vinyl sheet.</div><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLrRSl53dM8Qo_g7RHFrFRCP0fFO83DY_w8OEamVC1c5j4NCoYun6iOqodpyVyv9sSoJPi4YZMwBYJXXs25Vcbu_s_aKdyyn9A2sZXcLtpKg-lNwf24alFDqlIR5dlMypjKMPiqti4Sawp/s320/DSC01000.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5526554957892161778" /><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCbuJrZP0UJ6dbS9RSNr68FjxA7olq5C8GxXPqhyatWRmbZfleJJsAXMrvkzyDFltr1QZ4PSTXRiW2WBQVxbT6gpTDlc30YA6KVz-yxBm39f9c3I6NB2g9kzksWgeiqqW9d3Wwti2Hu0UP/s320/DSC01001.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5526554957709402178" /></div><div style="text-align: center;">I can't wait to have some more fun with this great material. Just Imagine having everything you need to complete a layout in one place. Just Imagine everything coordinating perfectly. If you can Imagine all that then you have used the Cricut Imagine!<br /><br />I love this new machine. I attempted my first layout last night using ONLY the Cricut Imagine. It can be done, and with awesome results! I used the Nursery Tails cartridge to complete this layout:<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0d3OeCWuk41QuFvsqPbRGaQSil5l4HYnfzXQExCyw-wGEK-iblfEU76nV-hqzM-NqHPMl_GwAe0alDH1P-d8mOihOvUK8p0Mr6kzX86M_WAmKITETR1EZgiwumGWnfVk51W1awY2yK7BJ/s1600/sweet+dreams.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 319px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0d3OeCWuk41QuFvsqPbRGaQSil5l4HYnfzXQExCyw-wGEK-iblfEU76nV-hqzM-NqHPMl_GwAe0alDH1P-d8mOihOvUK8p0Mr6kzX86M_WAmKITETR1EZgiwumGWnfVk51W1awY2yK7BJ/s320/sweet+dreams.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5525303818437410818" border="0" /></a><br />I cut the scalloped background from one of the images that come with the machine, and filled it with a patter from Nursery Tails. Then I cut the scalloped mat and also filled it with a color from the machine. I cut the "Sweet Dreams" out in layers at 3 inches, and multiplied the sheep x5. Next I cut the tag at 2.5 inches. I popped out a few of the pieces for added dimension. A little ribbon and a couple buttons and I was done. Literally in under an hour!<br /><br />Can't wait to play with this amazing machine some more!<br /><a href="http://tinypic.com/?ref=a41n2e" target="_blank"><img src="http://i53.tinypic.com/a41n2e.jpg" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic" border="0" /></a>Katthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06442144765543048255noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344391170247986481.post-58193484332834137592010-10-05T22:33:00.000-07:002010-10-05T22:39:05.743-07:00Imagine That....it's here! Finally, it came. I have been Imagining this day for a couple weeks now! My Cricut Imagine is here. All set up and ready to go. I guess I was one of the lucky ones as I had no issues with set up. The only bump in the road is the mat, which kinda curls and can get stuck behind the rollers before it cuts. I just gave it a little roll in the opposite direction and that seemed to fix the problem.<br /><br />So here are my first two cards using this amazing machine!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvkAS2DutmHBVdv8SvnRT5PFUUSuZ1HjmPuBz-qThXT8oNVakD2rxVy7fsRg_Hltj7dJb-VnommCy_s5PnbA3zLFHNcGV1DfIdLpd60A1Bx_kwTWSf1x838A5DNHfLoF9-7Ml6arrm9TMG/s1600/Imagine+Cards+002.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvkAS2DutmHBVdv8SvnRT5PFUUSuZ1HjmPuBz-qThXT8oNVakD2rxVy7fsRg_Hltj7dJb-VnommCy_s5PnbA3zLFHNcGV1DfIdLpd60A1Bx_kwTWSf1x838A5DNHfLoF9-7Ml6arrm9TMG/s320/Imagine+Cards+002.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5524802918304046242" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvXvB_Ga3LYkTcQ_mZU3KGVdbyb2-FqHdXQZqgMdHljnYiQS66evdIN7H_c9dzD4WheyQPoD_Yea-WndFeQ-qxdTMKn2dZXErcR2_SfooW9C4vo8HDAcDEDB0IZE1fdE09ETXfybaKuZ3I/s1600/Imagine+Cards+001.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvXvB_Ga3LYkTcQ_mZU3KGVdbyb2-FqHdXQZqgMdHljnYiQS66evdIN7H_c9dzD4WheyQPoD_Yea-WndFeQ-qxdTMKn2dZXErcR2_SfooW9C4vo8HDAcDEDB0IZE1fdE09ETXfybaKuZ3I/s320/Imagine+Cards+001.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5524802913961202514" border="0" /></a><br />Both cards were cut with the Cricut Imagine using the Imagine More cart and images from the machine its self.<br /><a href="http://tinypic.com/?ref=a41n2e" target="_blank"><img src="http://i53.tinypic.com/a41n2e.jpg" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic" border="0" /></a>Katthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06442144765543048255noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344391170247986481.post-81529025091042389632010-09-29T16:57:00.001-07:002010-09-29T16:58:57.284-07:003 More DaysOnly 3 more days to get your submissions in for a prize!! Friends. Someone that is always there for you. A shoulder to cry on. Someone to laugh with, someone to vent to. Some of the strongest bonds in my life have been made through my craft of scrapbooking. There is a bond so strong. We know each other through our pages, and in turn that makes us friends.<br /><br />So with friends on my mind, I went to my Design Studio. What I came up with is something entirely new for me. There are no pictures involved. LOL I made a template for this cute little gift bag.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhd4LB1BM3SwlhIpUMlpGVJTe98dFvQ_vNneCswzW9BwqCfEFBgMR4_3B3jzOs8aySCQTj2s1HfDJ7QOkAxjsUw0NhQDd7nS38UhA3WcTrPJvY939qg7mIKJB8l3UqxXhZweVMymn1U6izv/s1600/Friends+Purse+002.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhd4LB1BM3SwlhIpUMlpGVJTe98dFvQ_vNneCswzW9BwqCfEFBgMR4_3B3jzOs8aySCQTj2s1HfDJ7QOkAxjsUw0NhQDd7nS38UhA3WcTrPJvY939qg7mIKJB8l3UqxXhZweVMymn1U6izv/s320/Friends+Purse+002.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519887584983289026" border="0" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibm0ER0C-1tRseBlqb7FyUkrziQ4uck06XZS-gPrS6L-Uqd4F62HF4FSplqgbV2HaR1IMvZUwauGo-7IqYljqsQ3l1SX0vMX9AoejVTwTS3txw19w3bAw4qLQGXI0k4OBH6i-TYFX-tRM1/s1600/Friends+Purse+005.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibm0ER0C-1tRseBlqb7FyUkrziQ4uck06XZS-gPrS6L-Uqd4F62HF4FSplqgbV2HaR1IMvZUwauGo-7IqYljqsQ3l1SX0vMX9AoejVTwTS3txw19w3bAw4qLQGXI0k4OBH6i-TYFX-tRM1/s320/Friends+Purse+005.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519887569916676418" border="0" /></a><br />Would you like to try your hand at making this?
