Two cards, one layout, and of course there is a freebie!

Happy Thursday!! The week is almost over.....bring on the weekend, we are headed to the coast for our anniversary! Spending it as a family weekend so there will be plenty of photo ops, which of course leads to more scrappy time!!!

So anyway, this week I actually got three projects done! I am so proud of myself! Hehehe! The first, is a card using Lindsay's Bass Guitar stamp. I colored with my Bic Mark-its (as usual,) matted it with some DCWV cardstock and Coredinations cardstock, added some stickles and a Studio G sentiment, and voila: DONE! This seriously took about 15-20 mintutes to make.

Next, I used Lindsay's Funky Tree #1. Love this stamp! Another quick card, I colored with Bic Mark-its and colored pencils, matted with Coredinations cardstock, added a Studio G stamp and sentiment, all done!

Last, but certainly not least is my new FAVORITE LAYOUT, and that's saying alot considering it's not even my kid! LMAO! Love ya sis! This is one of my adorable nieces, Sam who I just happened to catch in a fit of giggles. Coredinations cardstock, sanded, patterned paper is by http://www.kellypanacci.com/, called Giggle Green. I embellished this very little. The dimension that can be seen in the second photo really does a lot for this layout.

Tried Something New

Well two things actually. While I was at JoAnn's the other day, I noticed that they had moved a bunch of stuff around. While I was looking for some textured cardstock, I found my new favorite cardstock, coredinations. I {heart} this stuff!
So anyway the second product that I decided to try is thanks to my fellow DT Lisa, who used this on one of her projects last week! Thanks Lisa! What am I taling about??? Liquid Applique. I always thought this was only for fabrics. Boy was I wrong! I love the fact that you can use this in two different applications. You can apply it and lave it alone, like the project on Lisa's blog, or you can let it dry overnight then heat set it for a nice puffy image.
For this layout, the look I was going for was seafoam, or whitecaps. So I decided to let the LA dry overnight, then I heat set it in the morning. I just love how this turned out!

Read a book and get a freebie!

It's that time of the week again! Time to show off another great stamp by Lindsay! The stamp that I am using today is the kitty cat (book not included,) and it was designed just for me! So without further ado here is the card I made:
I decided to make this cute little gift card holder. Perfect for a card from a book store. I added the kitty and the book to my scrapping program and merged the two images to make the kitty look like she is laying on a rug curled up with a good book. The stamp is colored with Bic Mark-its. On the inside I made a cute little pocket to hold the gift card.

Guess what! The little kitty that is so cute, is up for grabs! Yep it's this week's freebie. You can download this kitty for one week here. After that the stamp will be in the shop for just $1.00.

Enjoy Life

I was so not enjoying life when my oh so wonderful 3 year old decided to cover my entire layout in Modge Podge, but all is better now. I have almost replicated the entire layout perfectly and am even happier with this one!

LSS Thursday!

Another Thursday, another wonderful image from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff!

For my latest card, I used the Primative Bird on a Sunflower stamps, and colored it with my Bic Mark-its. Then, I cut it out, and detached the bird from the flower and it's legs (poor poor birdy.) I added pop-dots to the back of the bird to make him stand out just a tad more! Thanks for looking!
LSS July Special: Spend $5.00 and get any digi stamp free. Lindsay is constantly adding new stuff so check it out!

You wanna freebie? Ha! You gotta go looking for it! I don't have it today! But here is a list of my fellow DT members that may have it. Be sure to look closely, and be sure to leave some love for everyone!

'til next time, Happy Scrapping!
