Doodle Dragon Studios Challenge

The newest challenge over at Doodle Dragon Studios Challenge Blog is a color challenge. Usually color challenges are pretty easy for me, but this one had me stumped. The colors are BROWN, RED & ORANGE.

I was not sure where to go on this one. All the DT's had posted really cute fall ones, and I decided to head in the same direction and looked through my folder of Dustin Pike Digi Stamps, and came across 2. The pumpkin bear, and the spider balloon.

Here is my take on the challenge:

Sketchy Thursdays --- A new-to-me Sketch Challenge Blog

So today, I log on to Facebook, and I have an invite to join a group. Most of these I just delete as they are pointless, like, "I hate tomatoes, but love ketchup." IGNORE, IGNORE, IGNORE!!! But this one was from a fellow scrapper, blogger and friend, Jenny. You can visit her blog here. The site that she introduced me to is called Sketchy Thursdays. You guessed it every Thursday there is a new challenge sketch. I immediately fell in love with this weeks, and got right to work.

My take on the sketch:
The layout is done on a transparent overlay from KI Memories. The black background is just there for photographing purposes. I used Basic Grey "Lemonade" papers, Prima flowers. and the journaling block is a transparency from Hambly.

This has been a very productive week for me. But I should mention that I have so many new goodies to play with that this has been a very easy week to be creative. CKC Portland was last week, and I got some great deals on paper and embellishments, not to mention THICKERS! I love them! The day before I found out that Tuesday Morning sells scrapbook stuff, and bought a TON there. Then to top my week off, our Tax Return came yesterday, and my hubby treated me to the Cricut Expression for Valentine's Day. Love you sweetie!

So you want to see what else I have been up too? Here ya go!
Happy Valentine's Day!

A Spider and A Little Champion

Well, I have been sicker than a dog the last few days, so I am actually surprised that I got anything done at all. I did kill two birds with one stone and decided to do this month's card Challenge over at HYWWP. I tied that in with my DT project this week and came up with this card:
This is an accordian card. I used one of Lindsay's cute Halloween themed stamps, Harry the Spider. Too Cute! Colored with Bic Mark-its and adhered only to the front layer of the card. Black and green panels are Core'denations cardstock that I ran through the cuttlebug and distressed with a file.

My Little Champion

So even though I have been sick and laying in bed for the last two days, tonight was CJ's karate lesson. Normally with me being sick I would have just skipped it and let DH take him. But this class was special, he was testing for his first White Belt. So of course I carried my camera and my sick butt there! LOL He did great and broke the board with only a few kicks! I am so proud of him! Here are a few pics of him in action and receiving his white belt.

Boo!

For some reason, holiday Layouts intimidate me. Just something about catching the spirit in just a couple of pages. I don't know. Anyway I took advantage of a couple challenges over at Have Your Way With Paper this month and came up with this:

Fall Fun!

It is now Fall. Halloween has come and gone, but the layouts have just started. This is my favorite time of year to scrap. The holidays are quickly approaching, and with that comes many photo opportunities. Take the time to take pictures that you and your families will cherish for years to come.

Perfect Pumpkin: A warm Fall day, ideal for picking that perfect pumpkin. CJ found his, and gave me some great shots to scrap. The title is fun, and made 3 dimensional by using pop dots. Pumpkins on the right are hand cut. Some Magic Mesh and some fibers complete the layout.

Itsy Bitsy Spider & Friends: Halloween. A great time for dress up and a great time for pics. This layout was inspired by a sketch from Shanna (Scrappy Sketches & Ideas) The spider is hand cut and embellished with glitter glue and a silver pen.
