A Cherry on Top

Hey there! I just wanted to share my first creation as part of the new Design Team for Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. I used this super-duper adorable cupcake, A Cherry on Top. You can buy it here for only $1!
For this layout I printed the cupcake twice, colored both copies with colored pencils. Then I added Stickles to the top one and used pop dots to raise it off the page. Please click to enlarge and see more detail!*** Title was cut from the Cuttin' Up Cricut Cartridge

Here is another layout I finished last night. The butterfly is dry embossed. I then went over it with ink, using a Q-tip and finished the wings off with Stickles. Tell me this girl is not way too cute?!?!?

Easter 2009

Just a very simple layout. The title (EASTER,) eggs, and flowers are all cut from printed canvas. This was a freebie from HP at CKC 2008 in Portland, OR. A whole 12x12 layout was provided, but I only used the title and embellishments.

Paying it Forward

Ok, admit it, we all like to get something for free. I know I do. Well, at work the other day, I get there and there is this blue rubbermaid tote sitting on my desk. Curious, I looked inside. What was in there???

Wow! All this Stampin Up! stuff for me??? Yep. One of my co-workers had bought the stuff, but never got into it. These stamps have barely, if ever, been used. So I made her a thank you card for her generous RAK.Then when I came home later that evening, I decided that I was going to Pay it Forward. There is another co-worker that is just getting into scrapping. I decided to put together some of the things from my stash that I rarely or never used for one reason or another. I also gave her a new tote to carry everything in, since she is a "kitchen table" scrapper. I included patterned paper, stickers, some flowers, alphas, and some more embellies. She was surprised and could not wait to did it. It just made my heart smile to do something nice for someone else.

I was't sure.....

about this Sketch at all: It just looked really plain to me by itself. But I decided to sit down and scrap it anyway. I had this really great pic of C.J. with his really blue eyes, and thought this pic may work well with this sketch. So, not only was I working with a sketch that I was unsure about, I decided to throw in some Basic Gray papers that I love, but I find really hard to work with. I noticed that when working with these papers it is easier if you work in moderation. Smaller pieces. So I used the BG for the scallops, and the journaling background. The finishing touches for me are the stitching, the doodling, and the inking. I just LOVE how this turned out!

Spring is in the Air, Finally!!!!

As I sit here typing this, I am looking out the window of a bright and sunny day. Few and far between in this neck of the woods, it is definitely a spirit lifter. We are supposed to hit 80 on Monday! Whhhhhoooooooohooooooooo!!!! Bring on the capris and t-shirts!

Spring also makes me want to scrap in brighter, warmer colors. How bout you? We had a nice day a couple of weeks ago and went to the park. Chase got this wonderful pic of C.J. and I, so I decided to play with it last night. The design is a lift from somewhere I can't remember (if you recognize let me know in a comment so I can give credit.) But the colors just make me happy.
